The Great Chain of Being

Haven't posted anything in ages...

This was actually a small piece of my school art digital project, finished only a matter of weeks ago.

This was meant to be a representation of the Great Chain of Being in Shakespeare's Othello , which was essentially what the entire art piece was about. So I did fanart for a school art project. I feel proud. XD (Might post the final work later, if anyone is interested in seeing...)

Time taken was actually a few hours...Five? I don't really remember.
Done with Manga Studio Debut 3.0 with an Intuos 4 tablet because I really enjoy the "brush" pen tool. I basically sketched, then did the layers with shading/outline but ended up keeping the sketch layer behind it, almost like a shadow, just because it looked/looks good...
I really went really free with the brush strokes but loved how this turned out... (It looks terrible on the complete art piece though T.T)
