VOCALOID: Entry - Warm Happiness

This is my entry for 's August - November contest.

...I should not have coloured this or erased all of the sketch lines after lining (or at least should have scanned the original sketch before colouring, like I sometimes do). The sketch really tends to look better and Kaito hardly looks like Kaito here, possibly because of his hair that I drew quite badly...
(I've written his name in katakana simply because I prefer it that way.) And Miku's hair in the "main" scene should actually be longer, but I was interested in drawing the ends of her very pretty tresses.

This was also coloured rather sloppily mainly because of the lack of time but I am still pretty proud of it, as it's possibly one of my best so far. It's ACTUALLY somewhat complete and coloured, you see.
I'm quite satisfied with their expressions (which was the inspiration for the whole thing: warm feelings of happiness, hence the title), my chibis, and Miku's hair in the "main scene" and the clothes too, excluding the colouring (I do like what I did with Miku's hair though, even if it's not exactly the "proper" colour)... T.T

Concerning pairings, I've been doing a marathon in sorts of pairing drawings (sketches) lately and this contest did, in fact, encourage me to trying drawing my favourite Vocaloid pairing once again, only the second drawing of it I've ever really done. Certainly, the deadline encouraged me to complete it after starting it only yesterday XD
Look forward to sketches that look much better than this, haha.

Sketch: 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours
Ink: 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour
Colour: 1 hour or so
Done with a 0.5 mechanical pencil, Staedtler pigment liner, and Staedtler colouring pencils.
